About Franchise Maven
An advisor who listens before he recommends.
Greg Mohr has been the operator, the owner, the engineer, and the person who took a wrong turn. That perspective shapes a more honest way to explore what comes next.
The short version
Experience taught him to ask better questions.
Greg started in engineering, earned an MBA, and spent 30+ years learning how businesses work from the inside. In restaurants, he became a turnaround specialist by noticing a simple truth: when employees are treated well, customers feel it.
He eventually made the leap into business ownership and franchising. Along the way, he also chose a business that ignored one of his biggest criteria—working from home. That miss became useful experience.
Today, he brings that curiosity and humility to every franchise search. He listens for what matters, investigates the details, and helps clients avoid the expensive mistakes that are easy to make when the market is noisy.
The standard
A franchise should fit your reality—not just the brochure.
01
Listen deeply
Your goals, constraints, and non-negotiables are the brief.
02
Tell the truth
If the fit is wrong, the honest answer is still a valuable one.
03
Do the homework
Research, disclosure documents, and franchisee conversations matter.
04
Keep it human
Big decisions get clearer when the process feels personal.
